Mrs. Laura Seydel is a wife, mother and international environmental advocate and eco-living expert dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable future for children. Since 2001, Mrs. Seydel has been the chairperson of the Captain Planet Foundation, which provides project-based environmental learning strategies and grants to educators worldwide. She has co-founded Mothers and Others for Clean Air and Chattahoochee Riverkeeper in Atlanta, and serves on the Boards for The Turner Foundation, Turner Enterprises, Inc., Environmental Working Group, League of Conservation Voters, Defenders of Wildlife, Waterkeeper Alliance, Carter Center Board of Councilors, Rotary Club of Downtown Atlanta and Advisory Board for the Ray C. Anderson Foundation. Mrs. Seydel lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband where they raised their 3 children in the first LEED-certified Gold residence in the southeast.
